Genevieve Markovich

Genevieve Markovich, 91, formerly of Highland, IN, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018.  She is survived by: loving daughters Susan (Karl) Foote, and Nancy (Paul) Maggio, dear daughter-in-law Melody Stiak, beloved grandchildren Justin (Shelly) Foote, Audrey (Mark) Patrick, Jennifer (Spencer) Brooks, Brian Stiak, Stephanie (Alex) Kadish, Nicholas Maggio, special great grandchildren Megan, Lauren, Ryan, Benjamin, Regan, Everett, Jozlynn, Henry, special cousin Georgie, dearest sister-in-law Ellen Karvelis, loving nephews Mark, and John, beloved niece Carol.  She was preceded in death by: her loving husband Joseph, beloved son Rocky, dearest brother Norbert, and nephew Blaine.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd. (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Our Lady Of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN, with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating.  Burial Chapel Lawn Cemetery.

Genevieve was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, the Altar and Rosary Sodality, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Washington High School Class of 1944 Reunion Committee, and a volunteer for many years at Munster Community Hospital.  She enjoyed traveling, time spent camping and playing games with her family, cooking holiday meals, and attending events for her grandchildren.  Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, or Our Lady of Grace Church.
