Jerome A. "Jerry" Benson

Jerome A. "Jerry" Benson, 76, of Merrillville, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. He is survived by: beloved wife of 52 years Sheryle Benson, devoted daughter Robin Benson, loving son Timothy Benson, and brothers Lloyd (Mildred) Benson, Roland (Laurali) Benson, and Dennis Benson, sister-in-law Marion (Late Kenneth) Benson, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: son Jerome Jr., and siblings Delores (Sam), Lowell (Phyllis), and Robert.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Burial at Highland Cemetery, North Judson.

Jerry was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Merrillville. He was a season ticket holder who enjoyed the Gary RailCats, woodworking, and working with his hands.
