Margarita Estrada Padilla, 78, of East Chicago, IN, passed away January 16, 2018. She is survived by: loving children Heraclio Jr. (Lizbet) Padilla, Febronio Padilla, and Blanca (Ryan) Zulaski, great-grandchild Landen Mirabella, grandchildren Lucas Zulaski, Alexis Padilla, Devin Padilla, Christian Padilla, Gino Padilla, Karisa Padilla, Jessica Muńiz. Survived by: siblings Antonio Estrada Sotelo, Roberto Estrada Jacinto, Mari Esther Estrada Jacinto, and Lidia Estrada Jacinto D'Mendoza.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 3510 Deodar St. East Chicago, IN, 46312 beginning at 10:00 am with a Visitation at the church occurring from 9:30 am until time of service. Fr. Juan Manuel Sifuentes officiating. Burial at Catholic Cemeteries, Hammond, IN. 

She was born in San Francisco Del Rincon, Guanjuato, Mexico. She moved to East Chicago in 1972 after marrying Heraclio Sr. Padilla. Margarita loved her family, friends, and gardening.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling with her family, and attending social events. She lived an amazing life devoted to God. She lived for her family.
