Andrew Klosak

Andrew Klosak age 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. In his final weeks, he was surrounded by family, friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his children, Sharon (Steve) Magiera, Jackie Mullany, Andy( Kim) Klosak and Michelle( AJ) Jones; grandchildren, Megan Magiera, Lauren (Kurtis) Harris, Lindsey (Randy) Puckett, Sean and Erin Mullany, Kaleigh Klosak, Austin, Gillian and Andrew Jones; great grandchild, Hadley Harris; dear sister Eileen( late Robert) Costino; numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Helen (nee Zeman) Klosak and his parents, Andrew and Jean Klosak.

Andy was born on August 4, 1937 in East Chicago, Indiana. He was a 1956 graduate of Bishop Noll Institute. He married the love of his life on April 23, 1960. They spent 39 years together in their Hammond home until her unfortunate passing.

Andy was known for his friendly personality and kind demeanor as a Shoe Salesman at Sandler’s Shoes. He loved watching the Cubs and smoking cigars. He finally got to see the Cubs win a World Series in 2016. Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend. He will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Memorial Gathering will be Thursday, April 18, 2024 from at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 W 150th St, East Chicago, IN 46312 at 10:00 am.
