Mark Eugene McDillon

Mark Eugene McDillon, age 65, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

He is survived by his siblings Debra (Jim) Guinn, Diane (Ron) Bach, Bill (Debbie) McDillon and Dawn (Herb) Lewis; nieces and nephews, Beth (Dennis) King, Jeff (April) Guinn, Bryna Lewis, Kenny (Ali) McDillon, Jon (Grace) McDillon, and Lorna (Gregg) DeLoach;  Great-nieces and great-nephews, Logan Zacarias, Lucas and Austin DeLoach, Bryson and Addison King, Vela Gayer, Liam Guinn, Hale McDillon, Juliette and Louie McDillon; Great-great niece Harper Zacarias.

Preceded in death by parents Clarence and Elizabeth McDillon and wife Glenda McDillon.

Mark was born August 17, 1958 in Hammond, IN. After finishing school, Mark joined the U.S. Army and was based in Texas. After the Army, he returned home to Northwest Indiana where he worked for Medialist Redi-Bolt, Lally Pipe and Tube, and then worked until he retired in Home Construction.

Mark enjoyed art and drawing, watching the Chicago Cubs, fishing, spending time with his family and especially spending time with his dogs. 

Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband and fur dad.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322. A Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Ed Cunningham will be held at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown point, IN.
