Mark Angus Tharp

Mark 'Angus' Tharp age 42, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. 

He is survived by his children, Raymond and Malcolm Tharp; father, Mark Tharp; brother, Nathan (Randi) Tharp; nephew, Easton; nieces, Lillee, Eliza and Esme and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Preceded in death by his mother, Roxan Tharp; brother, Ryan Tharp; paternal grandparents, Charles and Barbara Tharp and maternal grandparents, Travis and Sharon James. 

Angus was born June 8,1981 in Hammond Indiana and was a 1999 graduate of Calumet High School. Angus was a 'jack of all trades' and loved working with his hands. If you needed help with getting a job done, Angus was the person to call. He was everyone’s right hand man when it came to cars, painting, plumbing and carpentry. Angus was very humble and didn't ask for much and was the type of person to give the shirt off his back to help someone else. Angus was just an all-around great guy.  He had a passion for playing drums, music and loved to jam. He loved attending concerts and hanging out with his friends and family. He loved spending time with his sons any chance he got. 

Angus was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all and will live on through us all. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 4:00-7:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 7:30 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.  

A Celebration of life gathering will immediately follow services at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 7229 W 25th Ave, Gary, IN.
