Robert "Bob" George Secviar

Robert “Bob” George Secviar age 63, beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend, was unexpectedly and tragically taken from us on March 15, 2024.

Bob was born June 8, 1960 in East Chicago, Indiana and grew up in Highland. He graduated from Highland High School in 1979. If you were lucky enough to know Bob, you knew him as someone who would be there to help you with anything at any time. He was a jack-of-all-trades and funnier than all get out. He loved to draw and had incredible artistic talent. He had a great love for animals, often finding comfort and peace in their company. Bob’s infectious smile, the twinkle in his eye, kind heart and unwavering love for his family will live on forever in our hearts and memories.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Cindy (late Larry Lindberg) Secviar, late Chuck (Julie) Secviar, Susie (Dale) Bouchee, Jim (Patty) Secviar, Bill (Virginia Saccomando) Secviar, Vicki (Roger) Blanton, and Mary Kay (Chris) Cole, nieces and nephews Eric (Marie Cuccia).

Uncle Bobby, better known as Uncle Peanut Butter and Jelly, loved and adored all his nieces and nephews, Steve (Megan), Tony (Briana), Nicole, Cory, Ian (Kristen), Eric (Marie), Lauren, Rachael (Jackie), Becca, Victor, Samantha and Hayden. He was also blessed to love his great-nieces and nephews, Stella, Wyatt, Bryce, Brayden, Charlee, Ayden, Ashton, Jamie, Tyler and Mackenzie.

Preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Victoria Secviar, brother Chuck, brother in law, Larry Lindberg and great niece, Margot.

May Bob rest in peace, and may we find solace in the cherished memories we shared. He will be missed immensely.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 525 N Broad St, Griffith, IN. Fr. Charles Niblick officiating. Friends are welcome to visit with Bob’s family starting at 9:00 am at St. Mary’s Church.
