Bertha J. Banning

Bertha Jean Banning, 86, went home to the Lord on May 12, 2019.  She is lovingly remembered by her children David (Jackie) Banning, Bruce (Donnia) Banning, Brian (Jill) Banning, Barbara (John) Bargfeldt and James Banning. Bertha was so loved by her 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a loving friend Elsie Edmonds.

Bertha is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Forrest Banning and son Charles Banning.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday May 14, 2019 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana.   A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, immediately following. Private interment will follow.

Bertha was born in Gary Indiana on May 6, 1933. She was a longtime employee at Methodist Hospital and was known by all for showing her love for her family, friends and all she met.
