Darlene Schoon

Darlene Schoon, 79, of St. John, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She is survived by: beloved husband John L. Schoon, loving daughters Lauren K. (Jeffrey M.) Peterson and Jolene M. (Dean) Ridder, caring son John R. (Diane) Schoon, brother Daniel L. Hook, eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell & Margaret Hook. 

A Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Funeral Service Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.

Darlene was a member of Village Church, was former Director of Community Christian Pre-School, and volunteered for many programs at Piney Point in Palmetto, FL. She was also former Coffee Break Leader, and was Key Lady for Bible League, Mother's Club, Highland Christian School, and Illiana Christian School.

Memorials preferred toward Bible League.
