Donald J. Moes

Donald J. Moes (Don), lifelong resident of Highland, IN, was called home to his Lord and Savior on January 18th, 2019. He was born on January 9th, 1958 to Donald and Marietta Moes.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years, Jody (VanMilligan). He is also survived by his three daughters: Danielle (Ryan) Nolan; Dana (Dan) Moynihan; and Deanna Moes (fiance’ Alan Felty). He was the best grandpa and adored his grandchildren: Madelyn and Vivienne Nolan; Evelyn and baby boy Felty; and 2 other “special buddies”. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Bennett Matthew Nolan.

Don was a gentle and compassionate man who loved his Lord and family more than anything. He loved spoiling his grandkids and letting them watch Sponge Bob and eat as many pickles and popsicles as they wanted. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

Memorials may be sent to Highland Christian School.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23rd from 4-7 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home, with private family burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 24th.
