Esther A. Whitlock

Esther A. Whitlock, 91 of Highland passed away Thursday January 25, 2018.  She iwas born May 4, 1926 in Chicago, IL to Anthony and Julia (nee Bernacchi) Spata. She is survived by: loving daughter Therese Whitlock, caring son Albert (Charlotte) Whitlock, grandson Mark Whitlock, sister Fannie (Arthur) Rheingans, sister-in-law Diane (Nicholas) Spata, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: beloved husband Raymond Whitlock, brothers Victor (Faye) Spata, Joseph (Rose) Spata, Nicholas (Diane) Spata, and Louis Spata.

A Mass to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. James Church, 9640 Kenney Ave., Highland, IN with a luncheon afterwards to meet with family and friends. Rev. Keith Virus officiating.

Esther was employed at Forkosh Hospital in Chicago and volunteered with the Chicago Public Schools. She was a member of the St. James Women's Guild.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
