Gerald D. Plonczynski, born August 21, 1931, age 86, of Highland, Indiana passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018. He is survived by; loving wife of 62 years Francine, caring son's Jerry (Sharry) Plonczynski, Timothy Plonczynski, devoted daughter Jody (Joseph) Slacian, dear grandchildren Erik (Briton) Plonczynski, Daniel (Robyn) Plonczynski, Jana Slacian, Jeri Slacian, great grandchildren Jaxon Plonczynski, Rowan Plonczynski, dear sister Mary Ann (Richard) Jingling, numerous additional loving family. He was preceded in death by: brother Chuck Plonczynski, sisters Dolores Ostrowski and Elizabeth Plonczynski.

Gerald had great love for his entire family, was a Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict, worked as a body repairman in the area for over 50 years, flew model airplanes and was a member of the Griffith Barnstormers. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital Chicago, St. Jude's Hospital, or the American Diabetes Association would be preferred.
