Harold E. Koenig, 105, of Munster, IN, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019. He is survived by: daughter Joan (late Robert) Chasanov, sons Russell Koenig and David E. (Georgene) Koenig, grandchildren Julia (Douglas) Reece, Mark (Simone) Koenig, Brian (Mark Tapper) Koenig, Michael (Jennifer) Koenig, David P. Koenig, and Ryan Koenig, great-grandsons Conrad Koenig and David J. Koenig, daughter-in-law Elaine Koenig and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: parents Edwin and Emma Koenig, wife Doris (Vollmer) Koenig, and sister Loretta Bohling.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 2201 Azalea Dr. Highland, IN, 46322. A Memorial Service will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 am. Rev. Merlyn Lawrence officiating.

Harold was employed at Sinclair/Atlantic Richfield Refinery-Accounting Department for 42 years. 

Harold was a lifelong member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. He also had the longest and oldest membership to the church. In the church, he had served as the organist for 33 years. He also served as treasurer, chairman of auditing committees, deacon, choir member, and hand bell choir member. Harold was also a member of ARCO Retirement Club, an avid golfer, and avid bowler.
