Joann Johnson

Joann Johnson, 84, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019.  She is survived by her three daughters, Vickie (Jim) Taylor and Debbie Jimenez of Highland, Indiana, and Donna Belcher of Kentucky; two sons, Ronald (Linda) Johnson of Highland, Indiana, and Michael Johnson, and his fiancee, Marysol Pino (our Angel in disguise!), of Griffith, Indiana; eight grandchildren: Jenni, Kim, Jamie, Jake, Jessie, Olivia, Jill, and Michelle; nine great-grandchildren: Alena, Avery, Raul, Colin, Aria, Gabriele, Allison, Alexander, and Jameson, and one great, great-grandchild, Alianna; two sisters, Juanita and Rita; many nieces and nephews, and numerous additional loving family members and friends.  Joann was preceded in death in 2001 by her loving husband, Jack Johnson, and in 2017, by her precious grandson, Jeremy. 

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322.  A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30 PM at the funeral home, immediately following visitation.

Joann was born in Cranberry, North Carolina on January 4, 1935 to the late Bessie Taylor Whittington and Howard Whittington.  She retired from a longstanding career in the Food Service Industry.
