Joseph Parvo Obituary

Joseph P. Parvo (Papa), of Highland, Indiana, age 92, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019. He is survived by his wife Eugenia (Jenny) of 69 years, his daughter Susan (Walt) Wojtas, and son James Parvo. Grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Burkett and Michael Wojtas. Brother-in-law George (Flo) Baltes. Preceded in death by his parents Joanna and Victor Sarbon. Sisters: Sylvia Wisdom, Mary Bednarsky, Elena Houser, Joann Boardman, and by his brothers: John, Victor, and Virgil Sarbon. 

Joe was retired from DuPont Co. with 35 years of service employed as a lab supervisor chemist. Joe was a WW2 Army Veteran serving his time in Japan. He was a long time active member of Griffith Lutheran Church and sang in the choir for over 40 years. 

There will be no visitation. Following cremation there will be a private Burial Service in the Veteran section of Chapel Lawn cemetery. Service to be conducted by Pastor Scales. Donations in Joe's name can be made to a charity of your choice.
