Joseph "Little Joe" Kleinaman Jr, age 78 of Highland, IN formally of Hammond and East Chicago IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was born to the late Joseph and Erma Kleinaman on February 19, 1940 in East Chicago, IN.
Joe was a loving father to daughters Melanie (Dan) Moynihan and Wendi (Greg) Szablewski, proud papa to Danny (Dana) Moynihan, Michael (Jordan) Moynihan-Skaltsas,, Gage Szablewski, Blaine (Candice) Szablewski, and Peyton, Maisyn, Rylie Szablewski, uncle of Robbie Edmonds, Debby (Mark) Pursley, Kelly (Mike) Adamsand Bobbi (Johnny) Brandon, great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by: son Ricky Kleinaman, mother of their children Jackie Kleinaman, sister and brother-in-law Carrie (Dewey) Edmaonds, and brother Bobby Kleinaman.
Joe’s career in glass installments began at Lansing auto glass in Hammond and he retired from Broadway glass and Merrillville. We look forward to spending time at Sportsmens tap on Sundays with his buddies watching NASCAR races.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Dyer Rehabilitation Center and Harbor Light Hospice for all the support and care that was given to Joe during the past eight weeks. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
