Kathy M. Kirk

Kathy M. Kirk, 60 of Griffith, Indiana peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving daughter and son-in-law. She is survived by her devoted daughter Lynn (Daniel) Calhoun, mother Hester Keelen, brothers Kenneth (Debbie) Keelen and Terry (Julie) Keelen along with other additional family members. Kathy was preceded in death in 2013 by her father, Floye R. Keelen.

Kathy was a loving and devoted Christian mother who cherished her daughter and family very much. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Griffith under the leadership of Dr. Scott Hobbs where she enjoyed using her musical talents to praise and worship her Lord and Savior. Kathy was a talented pianist and vocalist and was a dedicated member of the church choir. She devoted much of her time in the summer to teaching vacation bible school and also teaching a children's Sunday school class weekly. Kathy will truly be missed by all the lives she touched throughout her time here on this earth.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00-3:30 pm at Hillside Funeral Home, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322. Funeral Service will be held directly after at 3:30 pm with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating.
