Laura Beth Magerski

Laura Beth Magerski, 35, originally from Highland, IN, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. She is survived and will be deeply missed by: loving mother Vi Magerski-Bassett (Jim Bassett), caring brother Garrett Magerski, aunt Judy (Rev. James) McPherson of Boise, Idaho, uncle Alex Nasten of DeMotte, IN, and several beloved cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am with Rev. James McPherson officiating. 

Laura graduated from Highland High School in 2000 where she enjoyed playing the flute and piccolo in the school marching band and orchestra.  She attended Purdue University Calumet, was an avid Cubs fan who was wildly excited at each win, especially through the World Series! 

For 18 years Laura battled with multiple brain stem chiari and endured multiple surgeries with many hardships. Through it all she retained her great sense of humor and wit that brought joy to all those around her.  Her deep faith and hope in Christ carried her through to the end.
