Lisa Thompson-Jarmakowicz

Lisa J. Thompson-Jarmakowicz, 59, of Griffith, IN, passed away July 28, 2018.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Kelley Nicole Jarmakowicz, her 3 grandchildren: Hadon Sink, Sophia Jarmakowicz, and Rhylinn Farmer, her sister Amy (Rich) Ogrentz, two brothers: Larry (Carol) Thompson and Scott Thompson, and special cousin Kelley Jane Bryan.  She is also survived by her nephews and niece: Patrick Ogrentz, Jon, Jake, and Joel Thompson, and Corrine French, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her two precious sons: James Michael and Andrew Scott Ryan Jarmakowicz, her parents: Nina and Donald Thompson, and her nephew Tommy Matthew Gleason.

Lisa worked at many jobs throughout her lifetime and was extremely proud to receive her Associates Degree.  She loved her rescue dog, Gizzie, who stayed by her side and protected her for many years. She was known by many of her children’s friends simply as “Mom”, which she dearly loved.  Lisa also belonged to Griffith Chapter #583, Order of the Eastern Star.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN. There will be no other visitation.  For additional information, please contact Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Highland.
