Mary "Helen" (nee Lepley) Flowers, 91, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. She is survived by five children, Calvin Flowers, Karan Sue (William) Noojin, Kenneth Flowers, Karla (William) Devine, and Mary (Mark) Arnold; thirteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nadene Maeschen, Shirley Foster, Bonnie (William) Lyman, Junie Farris, Joann Berdine, and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl C. and son, Richard, and two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9009 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, Indiana 46322. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at the church, with burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, to follow.
Helen was dedicated to the Lake Hills Community, as well as the Twin Lakes RV Park and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Texas where she spent her winters. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Highland, Indiana, and Peace Lutheran in Schererville, both in which she was very active.
Memorial contributions may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
