Norma Wilson

Norma H. Wilson (nee Hicks), 90, of Highland, IN, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018.  She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Wilson; son, Kent Wilson; daughter Diane (Tim) Yeazell; four grandchildren: Robert (Lisa) Yeazell, Timothy Yeazell Jr., Thomas (Aiden Winterton) Yeazell, Larisa Yeazell; four great grandchildren: Kyla Yeazell, Kellin Winterton, Ronnie and Abby Midkiff; nieces Karen (Eric) Egler, Kathy Adams, Jacquie Adams, Linda Taylor; nephews Kenneth Wilson, Kevin (Lucy) Wilson, Sam (Lois) Elbe, Dennis Hicks, Eric (Fran) Ziegler; and sister Esther Ziegler.  Preceded in death by her daughter Janet Wilson.   

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 10:30 am, at Hillside Funeral & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Road. (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322, with Rev. Linda Skaggs officiating, burial Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.  A visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Wednesday, 9:30 am until time of service.    

Mrs. Wilson was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church of Highland where she belonged to the women's association and Ruth Circle.  She was also in the Highland Junior Women's League, and was a Girl Scout Leader.  For many years she worked for the Lake County Elections Board at the voting polls.  Formerly, she was employed by the Dayton Public Library, Walter McFall Insurance Agency, Elder & Johnson Co., and the Ohio Finance Company.  Memorial donations to the charity of choice in Norma's name is appreciated.
