Richard E. Smeberg

Richard E. Smeberg, age 71, of Highland passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018.  Richard is survived by his loving children Christopher (Deborah) Smeberg, Jill (Shane) Tabor and beloved grandchildren Kaila, Sophia, Matthew, Kara, Audra, Jaxson, Julianna, Jianna, and Shaina.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Janet, siblings Janet Perry, Bill and Ron Smeberg.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd. (one block south of Ridge Rd.) Highland, IN, 46322 from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, with a service immediately following at 6:30 pm.

Richard was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, retired with 32 years of service from Inland Steel, member of Hammond FOP and a 10 year lung transplant survivor.
