Ruth Jean (Beloshapka) Troxell

Ruth Jean Troxell (Beloshapka), 79, of Highland, IN, was called home to the Lord on October 2, 2019. Ruth was born January 26, 1940 to the late Jack and Alvina (Twardy) Beloshapka. She is a graduate of Bishop Noll, class of 1958. She worked at the Highland Department Store and Sand Ridge Bank. A licensed Cosmetologist since 1960, she was a wonderful beautician that enjoyed dancing in her stiletto shoes with her life partner Andy Prieboy. In her spare time, she loved to go cross country skiing, play solitaire, watch the Chicago teams, and eat Taco Bell and double White Castles with extra onions. Family was the most important to her. Ruth always cherished celebrating birthdays, which she always remembered, and took the most photos. Ruth was a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace for 49 years and was a member of the Alter and Rosary.

Ruth is survived by her sons Michael (Denetta) Troxell and Keith Troxell; her daughter Nancy Troxell (Tony Hauprich); her grandchildren Danielle (William) Adams, Joshua (Emiley Hunt) Troxell, Megan Gale, and Brandon Gale; her great-grandchildren Lilian Troxell and Olivia Adams; her brother Jack (Sandi) Beloshapka; her niece and nephew Nicholas (Jessica) Beloshapka and Alison (Mike) Salwan; and her lifelong friend from second grade Joann (Dominic) Noce. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene Troxell, and her parents.

Friends are invited to visit with the family Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. 

Ruth will be cremated and buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.
