Theresa "Candy" Nowicki

Theresa "Candy" Nowicki, 72, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019.  She is survived by dear nephews Michael (Diane) Fogarty, John (Kathy) Fogarty, dear niece Colleen (Troy) Kwist; loving cousin Rosemarie (Thomas) Nugent, and many additional loving family and friends.  Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Ziggie and Celia Nowicki and her sister Louise Fogarty.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith, Indiana, 46319.  Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass, burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City , IL.

Theresa was a member of St. Mary Church, she attended the Polish School of Language and Culture at the Carmelite Shrine, Munster, Indiana.  Theresa volunteered at the Shrine helping out in many different ways over the years.  She was her mothers dedicated caregiver for many years, she enjoyed working outdoors, knitting, baking and cooking for family and friends.  She loved animals, caring for many over the years.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society in Theresa's honor would be appreciated.
