Alberta "Toots" Grabill Obituary

Alberta “Toots” Mae Grabill, age 85, of Highland Indiana, passed away peacefully Friday, December 31, 2021. She is survived by her daughters Georgette (Garry) Sknerski of Highland, Roberta (John) Bracco of Texas, Charles (Cheryl) Grabill of Missouri, and James Grabill of Morocco. Granddaughters Jennifer (Jason) Fedeler, Karissa Bracco, Stephanie Sknerski and Karli Grabill. Grandsons, Colton Bracco and Mitchell Grabill. Great Granddaughters Mackenzie, Macie & Madison Fedeler. Preceded in death By her husband Bernard “Buster” Grabill.

Alberta served in the United States Navy. She met the love of her life in 1965 and married him a few months later. They were married for 36 years until Bernard's passing. She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. A loyal parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Highland where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Her favorite times were family parties and the local casinos.

Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Sunday, January 9, 2022, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, from 4-7 P.M. Catholic Mass will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday January 10th at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Avenue, Highland. Father Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Garden in Crown Point immediately following.
