Alicia Uribe peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of a remarkable woman, who left this world at the age of 75. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a faithful servant whose life reflected grace, strength, and unwavering belief.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gustavo Uribe; children, Carlos (Desiree) Uribe, and Noemi (Julio) Rodriguez; son-in-law, Joey DeLeon; grandchildren, Joshua (Meg Simko) DeLeon, Karla (Darne) Bell, Lilliana Uribe, Elizabelle Uribe, Analeah Uribe; and great grandchild, Theolonius Bell.
In addition to her parents, Rutilo Schiaffino and Rosa Rodriguez, Alicia was preceded in death by daughter, Xóchitl DeLeon.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. She walked closely with God, finding comfort, guidance, and peace through prayer and scripture. In times of joy and in seasons of hardship, her trust never wavered. She believed deeply that every trial had purpose, and she leaned on her faith as her greatest source of strength.
Throughout her life, she faced challenges with extraordinary courage. Even in the face of illness, her spirit remained steadfast. She often spoke of God’s presence sustaining her, and her quiet resilience became a testimony to all who witnessed her journey. She never allowed illness to define her; instead, she chose to live each day with purpose, dignity, and hope. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her wisdom, and her ability to bring comfort and light to those around her. She shared her faith not only through words, but through her actions—offering kindness, encouragement, and compassion to everyone she encountered. Her life was a living example of love, patience, and grace.
Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished so deeply and in the memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She taught those around her the true meaning of perseverance, faith, and unconditional love.
While her absence leaves a profound void, her family finds peace in knowing she is now resting in eternal comfort, embraced by God’s love. As it is written, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
She is deeply missed and forever loved.
