Alida Pabst Jordan

Alida Pabst Jordan, a beloved 82-year-old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She’s survived by her devoted husband, Paul Jordan; their son, Paul Jordan; their daughters-in-law, Linda and Kathy Jordan; their grandchildren, Paul, Trevor, Anna Gray (Tyler), Emily Grice (Daniel), Bobby Costello (Lisa), Christopher Costello, Aubrie DeYoung (Steve), Danielle Zurawski (Nick); her sister, Wilhemina Hooymans; and 8 great grandkids. She also had many nieces, nephews, and dear friends worldwide.
 
Sadly, Alida is preceded in death by her parents, Heinrich and Gertrud Pabst; her son, Marcus Jordan; her sister, Gertrud Van Kampen; her brothers, Otto, Rudolf, and Heinrick Pabst.
 
Alida was born on July 25, 1942, in The Hague, Netherlands. She met her husband, Paul, while he was stationed in Germany and decided to follow him back to the US. They got married on May 20, 1967, and spent the next 57 years raising a family, traveling together, and making wonderful friends along the way.
 
Alida was incredibly smart and earned her bachelor’s degree later in life. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and became a math teacher. Her dedication to her students was unwavering, and she earned their respect and love.
 
As per Alida’s wishes, she wanted to be cremated instead of having a funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share a fond memory of her on our website or make a donation to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in her honor.
