Alison Thompson Obituary

Alison Soto Thompson

It is with both sorrow and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Alison Thompson, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, mentor, and friend who passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on June 24th, 2025 following a courageous five and a half year battle with cancer.

Alison faithfully served in many ways throughout her life, each marked by dedication, love, and a servant’s heart. She worked at Inland Steel for 18 years, where she was known for her integrity, diligence, and kindness by her co-workers.

After her time at Inland Steel, Alison devoted 12 years to homeschooling her daughters, Rebekah and Leah, pouring her heart and soul into their education and fun. Although her home was filled with tears in early homeschool learning, it was filled with books, laughter, and the love of Christ in later years.

For almost a decade, Alison cherished her time at Paun Family Chiropractic and Wellness, where she brought warmth and compassion to everyone who walked through the door.

A passionate teacher of God’s Word, Alison led Missionettes (M-pact) Girls’ Ministry every Wednesday night for almost 30 years, planting seeds of faith in young girls and guiding them with grace, patience, warmth, and devotion. Her legacy of faith lives on in each life she has touched.

As a mother, Alison was nurturing and selfless, always putting her children and husband first. Her home was a haven- a place of peace filled with laughter, warm meals, open arms and God’s truth.

As a daughter she honored her parents with a servant’s heart, caring for them with love and grace. As a sibling, she was a confidant and a source of strength, offering encouragement in different seasons.

She had a deep love for her Life Point Church family, where she served faithfully.

Though we mourn her absence here on Earth, we rejoice in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord, whom she loved. 2 Timothy 4:7 says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Alison is survived by her husband, Jay Thompson; her daughters, Rebekah (Spencer) Jenney and Leah Thompson; her father and mother, Vincent and Rebecca Soto; her brothers, Aaron (Krista) Soto, Vincent (Kristine) Soto, and her sister, Lesley Soto as well as her uncle and numerous aunts, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
