Angelina (Panozzo) Baffa

Angelina (Panozzo) Baffa age 89 of Schererville, IN passed away peacefully Saturday July 30, 2022.  Born September 15, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Giuseppe and Maria Panozzo.

She survived by her loving and caring husband Arthur Baffa of 70 years. Three children Steven Baffa, Mari Jo Kinsey, and Janis (Ken) Theil.

Four grandchildren, Stefanie (Chris) Hejmej, Eric (Jamie) Kinsey, Kyle Theil and Jack Theil

Two great-grandchildren Matthew Hejmej and Jacob Hejmej.

She was retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad where she worked for 23 years.

After retirement Angelina (Angie for short) and Arthur became snow birds in the winter months where they traveled for over 20 years to Naples, Florida where they met many dear friends.

She loved going shopping, she was a very fashionable lady who always took pride in how she looked. Her favorite was going out for breakfast or dinner. She would sit at the restaurant and love to talk when she dined with family or friends and never wanted to be in a hurry to leave. She loved to read, she was always reading the latest Danielle Steel novels. She had a genuine heart and a strong Catholic faith which guided her through a well lived life. She always believed in the power of prayers and saying the rosary daily. She will be dearly missed by her family.

A Visitation will be held Monday, August, 8, 2022 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, Indiana, 46322 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 DIRECTLY at St James the Less Catholic Church,  9640 Kennedy Ave, Highland, IN 46322, with Rev. Gregory Bim-Merle celebrating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the family will be given to the caregivers and organizations who were with them through emotional and spiritual guidance and support at the final stages of Angelina's life.
