Anna Castillo-Ruiz Obituary
Anna Rebecca Castillo-Ruiz peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
She is survived by her loving husband Steve Ruiz, parents Nicholas and Guadalupe (Lupie) Castillo siblings Nicholas Castillo III, Carlos and Samantha Castillo, Amanda Castillo and Tristan McCarty, nieces and nephews Alexis, Sabrina, Christian Castillo, Azalea Castillo- McCarty, Ayden and Aries McCarty and many cousins Laura Martinez and Melissa Gall. Anna was preceeded in death by grandparents Nicholas and Olivia Castillo, Philip and Victoria Serros.
Anna was born on February 16, 1973 in East Chicago and was a 1991 graduate of EC Central high school and attended Job Corp. On August 23, 1999 she married the love of her life, Steve Ruiz and together they shared 27 years together. Anna worked for Premier, Pet America and Show Boat, but her true calling was being “Titi” to many children of family and friends she enjoyed music, concerts, camping, and going to the casino with her friends and family. Anna had the biggest and warmest heart. She cared for and protected all that she loved. Not a day will pass without the thought of her listening to her jams and dancing in heaven. Anna was a loving daughter, sister, Tia, wife, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
