Ayrica Bryn Polen, age 15, was a bright and beautiful soul who brought warmth, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone she knew.

Ayrica had a sharp wit and a full heart. She was known for her humor and quick comebacks, as well as her ability to make people laugh. Her deep understanding of others’ feelings and ability to listen is as special as it is rare. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for.

She enjoyed spending her free time with her “bestie westies”, whether that be just driving around town running errands, going to the Friday Night Football games, or just watching 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' with her mom.

She is survived by her loving parents, Andrew Polen Sr. and Rebecca Polen; all her siblings, Briana, Alaina (Olgierd), Andrew Jr. (Lorali), Bianca and Astella; her beautiful niece, Violet; maternal grandparents, Linda and Steve Holdosh; paternal grandmother, Gwen Polen; aunts and uncles, Michael Polen Jr. (Denise), David Polen (Melissa), and Melissa Pfaff (Rich); cousins, William Polen (Mary), Kayla Polen, Jaden Polen and Joscelyn Polen.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ronald Gardner and paternal grandfather, Michael Polen Sr. 

Ayrica’s memory will live on through the love she gave so freely and the countless hearts she touched.

Ayrica’s Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 beginning at 1:00pm with Memory Sharing at 4:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
