Barbara A. Litherland

Barbara A. Litherland, 76, of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. She is survived by her two loving daughters Beth Thompson, Stacy (Tim) Valdivia, beloved granddaughter Alyssa Thompson, dear grandsons Zach Thompson, Mat Valdivia, devoted brothers George (Sue) McBrayer, John (Peg) McBrayer, loving sister-in-law Connie McBrayer and loving niece and caretaker Kathy McBrayer, along with many additional loving family members. Barb was preceded in death by her parents Waid (Grace) McBrayer, brothers Howard (Naomi) McBrayer, Bob (Wanda) McBrayer, and Bill McBrayer.

Barb grew up attending the First Christian Church of Griffith. She was a graduate of Calumet High School. She spent over 30 years of her life as a bank teller between Mercantile National Bank in Griffith and Chase Bank in Valparaiso. Also, during her retirement years she worked at Dress Barn in Valparaiso.

Friends are invited to visit with family from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN. 46322.  A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 pm immediately following visitation; Konnie Kuiper officiating. Graveside Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens 711 E. 77th Ave. Schererville, IN. 46375.
