Barbara Jean Stutler Trueblood passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her son, Mike.
She leaves behind her daughter, Gaylynn, and son Brian (Amy), as well as nine grandchildren, their spouses, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family will cherish the legacy of her faith and faithfulness.
She was a wonderful wife and mother. She served faithfully as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, and deaconess as she worshiped with her church family for many years at Griffith Baptist Church.
She faithfully and patiently shared her quilting skills and many loved ones still enjoy the warmth of one of her quilts on a cold, wintry night.
Last but not least, she remained a faithful fan of her Chicago Cubs. She watched them through many long seasons and could often be heard saying, " They'll do better next year..."
The family will gather for a private remembrance of Barbara.
We are grateful for the care given to Mom by the Dyer Nursing and Rehab staff.
Now go out and bind up the wounds of the world where you find them.
Take time for the elderly, for they have gone before us and their wisdom is not to be forgotten.
Be gentle with the children, for they hold the future of our faith.
A Benediction
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.”
