Bernadette L. Garibay

Bernadette L. Garibay, 63, of Highland, IN. entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 18th, 2023. She is survived by: mother Nora Lozano, siblings Steve (Juanita) Archuleta and Gail (Dan) Galich, children David (Lanora) Garibay, Carl (Dianna) Garibay, Daniel (Angie) Garibay and Gina (Arron) Guajardo,  grandchildren Natasha, Carl Jr., Isabela, Dominic, Matthew, Eric, Prudence, Daniel Jr. and Paris, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by: father Elivinio Archuleta, sister Sandra Archuleta and granddaughter Alyssa Garibay.    

Bernadette had a spark that was as bright as her signature red hair. She was a dedicated nurse of Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, IL for 25 years. Bernadette was a devoted mother, who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma. She had a vivacious personality, loved to laugh and was always quick with a joke.   

Friends and family are welcome to come pay their final respects to Bernadette on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 AM with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. Join us following church service for a luncheon at the American Legion (2703 Jewett Ave. Highland, IN) as we share memories and celebrate the life of Bernadette.
