Beverly Jean Lynch

Beverly Jean Lynch, 81, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 11, 2026, from the effects of a long-term illness.

She was born on November 15, 1944, in Chicago to her parents, the late Joseph and Stefana (nee Borsellino) Alaimo. On June 29,1963 Beverly Married the love of her life, John Lynch and they remained inseparable for more than 62 years of marriage until his recent passing In March of this year.

Beverly is survived by sons, John (Alice) Lynch and Joseph (Nicole) Lynch; grandchildren Samantha (Brett) Lynch, Sarah (Justin) Kaczmarski, Francesca (Justin) Thiele, Joseph Lynch, and Grace (Bryce) Drake; great-grandchildren Kaleb, Carter, Bradley, and Silvia; her beloved Sister in Law Elizabeth Duffy her nieces Diane (Vince ) Picciola, Sheila (Tom) Anzur, Linda (Jeff) Molsen, Cheryl (Dean) Bielke and Nephew Carl (Denise) Giglio as well as numerous Grand-Nieces, Grand-Nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.

Beverly grew up on the Southside of Chicago, attended Mount Vernon Grade School and Fenger High School. In her early years she worked at a bank in Chicago, waitressed tables at the Branding Iron restaurant, Ginos Steakhouse and Harolds Club. She later worked as a Clerk for Illinois State Medical Society and then finally worked at the Lake County Clerk’s Office in Hammond, leading to her retirement.

Throughout her years, Beverly enjoyed traveling with her family on vacation, spending weekends at the campground with family and friends, playing Bunco with the girls in Club, dancing, music, concerts, movies and theater.

Beverly also enjoyed going out for dinner nightly with her husband John, they frequented all the local area establishments making many friends along the way. She considered many of you as extended family members and wished to thank the following for all the years of great meals and friendships: Madvecks “Lynch Special” Lisa, Mike and Mary, The Commander Rest. The Sirounis Family and staff, El Taco Real, Ray, Carmen, Kathy and staff, Top Notch Rest. Chris and Staff.

She was also a Parishioner of St. John Bosco Church in Hammond IN for many years.

But of all the things Beverly enjoyed doing, the thing she cherished most was her family. She relished being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother and her love, pride and devotion for her husband and children had no boundaries. She had the biggest heart and shared her love with all she met.

A visitation will be held on Sunday July 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN, 46322 with a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Alsip, IL, with private family service.
