Billy W Estes

Billy W. Estes, 78, of DeMotte, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020. He is survived by: beloved wife Elaine, children Pamela & Nick Kekelik, and Douglas & Susan Estes, grandchildren Zachary & Alicia Kekelik, Lauren Estes, Rebecca & Nathan Lewis, and Jonathan Estes, great-grandchildren Braelynn Estes, Leo, Simon, & Will Kekelik, and Emma & Addison Lewis, and siblings Peggie Cogdill and Charles (Pee Wee) & James Estes. He was preceded in death by: parents Clyde & Lillie Estes, and sibling Christine Wilcoxon.

Billy was born in Dickson, Tennessee May 27, 1942. His family moved to the Midwest during his younger years.

He graduated from Calumet High School in 1960. This is where he met the “apple of his life” ~ Elaine. They married September 8, 1962. They were happily married 58 years. Their love gave them two children, Pamela and Douglas, who blessed them with four grandchildren who continued the blessings with six great-grandchildren. He was a very proud dad, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Billy was a hard working man that provided for his family by driving a truck. He hauled everything from produce to steel through out his career. He retired from the Teamsters Union, Local 142 in 2004.

Billy and Elaine professed their faith in Christ and were baptized June 22, 2018 at Valparaiso Baptist Church. This is where they made many new and lasting friendships.

Billy loved being around people and always enjoyed gathering with his loved ones, family and friends whenever possible. His passing will leave a whole in many hearts but heaven has gained another special angel.

Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2020 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Valparaiso Baptist Church, 612 Emmettsburg St, Valparaiso, IN, 46385 at 10:30 am with a Visitation at the church beginning at 9:30 am.
