Bonnie Leep.

Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 81, Bonnie peacefully passed and went to be with the Lord. Bonnie was born September 11, 1940 in Steger, IL to her parents of William (Bob) Cripe and Mother Edna (Sanders) Cripe.

Bonnie’s number one passion was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She would light up when her family came to visit. The family enjoyed spending most Sundays together for dinner and conversation. She and her family enjoyed many vacations, fishing, playing games, and being around one another. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and playing computer games.

Bonnie was a lifelong member of the First Christian Reformed church (now Faith Church) in Highland, IN. She was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher.

Bonnie and the love of her life, her husband, Harry Leep, celebrated their 61^st wedding anniversary this past January. Harry passed away on April 12^th of this year, so they were only apart for 5 weeks until reunited in Heaven.

Bonnie is survived by her children, William E Leep, Beverly Leep-Burgess (Kevin), and Linda (Leep) Mooney (Aaron). Survived by his grandchildren, Kasey Mooney, Katie (Mooney) Drake (Jon), Kimee Mooney, Keith Burgess, Kaitlyn Leep and Savanna Leep.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Leep, her daughter, Debra (Leep) Ensweiler and daughter-in-law, Lisa (Panero) Leep., and by her brother -in-law Arnold Leep, sister-in-law Patsy Leep, sister-in-law Carol Leep, and sister-in-law, Irene Leep.

Bonnie is also survived by her estranged daughter, Pamela (Leep) Pondo (Bruce), granddaughter, Chelsea (Pondo) Rotko, granddaughter Stephanie Batterson, and grandson Andrew Batterson.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to the Hospice House of the Calumet Area for taking such wonderful care of her in her final hours.

The public viewing will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 3pm-6pm, with a chapel service starting at 6:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN.

The graveside service will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:30am at Hope Cemetery, Highland, with luncheon to follow at Faith Church, 8910 Grace St, Highland, IN.
