Brenda Gonsalves Obituary
Brenda M. Gonsalves, née Bielak, age 62, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. She is survived by her brothers, James Jr. (Jill) and Randall; nieces, Amber Bielak, Emily (Matthew) Showalter, Sarah (Zeke) Zimmerman, and Maggie Bielak; nephews, Eric (Elena) Bielak, Josh Bielak, and Zack Bielak; grand-niece, Arya Zimmerman; and grand-nephews, Garret and Wes Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. and Betty Bielak, née Prodan, and her husband, Franklin Gonsalves.
Brenda was born on August 30, 1962, and graduated from Highland High School in 1980. She became a certified dental technician at Indiana University. On January 1, 2000, she married the love of her life, Franklin Gonsalves. They spent 20 loving years together, living in Nevada and Indiana. They loved to travel and often spent time with family in Hawaii. Brenda was a longtime member of the church and loved doing puzzles in her free time.
Brenda was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 9:45 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Avenue Highland, IN 46322.
