Carol L. Carlson (nee Byrd), age 79, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
She is survived by her children, Stacy (Joseph) Rodriguez, Jennifer (Robert) Kuehl, Scott (Misty) Carlson, and Renee (late Daniel) Marlowe; grandchildren, Kyle (Kristina) Brown, Zachary (Veronica) Brown, Megan (fiance Andrew) Carlson, and Nicholas Carlson and great grandchildren, Caydance Brown and Norah Brown. Carol was happiest when she was with her family and friends. She and Richard enjoyed spending time with their kids and grandkids whether on camping trips, vacations, or in their backyard pool. They attended nearly every one of their kids and grandkids sporting events, cheering them on from the sidelines. She loved reading a good book, listening to music, and dancing. Carol also enjoyed walking with her friends around the neighborhood and at the YMCA, along with taking Zumba classes a few nights a week. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends camping at Turkey Run, Potato Creek, Tippecanoe, or any state park that they could visit. Those who have been on any of their adventures know how fun they were!
Carol was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
