Carol Ann (Keister) Henson

CAROL ANN (KEISTER) HENSON, 80, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025 with loving family members by her side. Until
the end, Carol was a bright and energetic presence for family and friends near and far. In her 80 years with us, she shared her kindness and love with every life she touched through caring acts and thoughtful words.

Carol was born on December 28, 1944 to William and Violet (Raynak) Keister. The eldest child, Carol grew up in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from George Rogers Clark High School.
Carol married George H. Henson on May 1, 1965, and together raised their children Sandra Henson Kinney and Douglas H. Henson.

Carol was generous, gave freely, and never asked for anything in return. Many will treasure memories of her chocolate chip cookies, Christmas cookie parties, and pumpkin bread. We will always be on the lookout for her first-to-arrive birthday and anniversary cards. And, we will miss her beautiful smile.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, George; her devoted children, Sandra (Cliff) and Douglas; sister Diana Wilcox; and grandchildren, John Kinney, M.D. Clara Kinney, and Nathaniel Henson; and extended “family” throughout northwest Indiana too numerous to count.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at St. Michael Parish in Schererville, Indiana followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.

Memorials may be given in Carol’s name to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.
