Charles Thomas Anderson

Charles Thomas Anderson 'Charlie', age 76 of Hammond, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Charlie was born on October 17, 1949 in Chicago IL. to the late Galen Wheeler Anderson and Delicie Elaine Anderson (nee Gentz). He was an MTM at Mittal steel for 44+ years, a loving husband, and a devoted father. He was known for his jokes, humor in stressful times, dedication, and his generosity.

Charlie loved soaking up the sun in his pool out back, his neon signs, being a mason, before that he was a volunteer firefighter for Lynnwood, IL. and many more. Above all, he cherished his family and the time spent with them.

He is survived by daughters, Teri Anderson, Amber Anderson and Ashley Anderson; 11 beautiful grandchildren; his sister, Shirley May (Anderson); nephews, Tony, William and Jason, and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife Pennie R. Anderson; his parents and sisters, Eleanor BeShears and Barbara Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
