Charles William Russell, 90, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was born in Reynolds Station, Kentucky on August 17, 1934. His parents were Bessie Evans Russell and Charles Leslie Russell. He went to grade school in Fordsville, Kentucky and Owensboro, Kentucky Tech High School. He graduated and taught at East Chicago Barber College in 1963. He is also a graduate of Thomlinson Bible College in Cleveland, Tennessee and was president of the class. Over the years, he was a minister in the Church of God Prophecy and Church of God. He was a self-employed real estate investor at the time of his death.
He married Dalia Baradokaite from Luthuania on April 24, 2001. He was a good father and loving husband. He enjoyed music and played the steel guitar whenever he could. He loved visitation and talking to people all the time. He also owned and loved antique cars.
Survivors include his wife, Dalia Russell, daughter Diana Hayes from South Dakota, grandson Bruce Christian, granddaughter Charity Trotter, and three great-grandsons.
Preceded in death by son Timothy Russell.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am with a Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at Crown Point Cemetery, 347 Maple Lane, Crown Point, Indiana, 46307. There will be a luncheon after the burial at Black Oak Pentecostal Church, 2725 E Oakwood Dr. Gary, IN at 1:30 pm.
