Christopher Van Til

Christopher Van Til, age 41, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Chris was a devoted father, a caring son, and a loving brother whose life was marked by a deep commitment to family. He is survived by his two beloved sons, Jiraiya and Tyler Van Til, who were the joy and center of his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Bryan Van Til; sister, Amanda (Van Til) Porter; parents, Frank and Gladys Van Til; nephews, Jonathan Van Til, Nolan Porter, and Hudson Porter; and niece, Aubrey Porter.

Chris was the kind of person who always put family first. Whether through everyday acts of kindness or simply showing up when it mattered most, he made sure those around him felt loved and supported.

He will be truly missed by all who knew him and will be remembered for his warmth, his loyalty, and his unwavering dedication to the people he cared about.

Visitation will take place at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm with a service to follow. There will be a private burial with immediate family on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Hope Cemetery at 10:00 am.  

In lieu of flowers, tributes in Chris’s name may be directed to Highland Christian School or Illiana Christian High School, two communities that reflect his values and love for Christian education.
