Claudia E. Consorti, age 67, of Munster IN, at rest Saturday, June 5th, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Brian. Bernard Oppenneer (Uncle Buddy). Cousin Mary Catherine. Sister-in-law Susan Jensen. Niece Jamie, and husband Chuck Chapman and their children Hadley and Hayden. Nephew Kevin Jensen. Brother-in law and sister-in-law Mike and Joan Consorti. Nieces Lisa and Denise Consorti. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ken and Carol Schlegel and many cherished and supportive friends.

Claudia was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Joanne Jensen, and brother Christopher Jensen.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (just south of Ridge Road) Highland, Indiana, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a service beginning at 11:30 AM.

Claudia completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Governors State University in 1991. After many fulfilling years serving the Developmentally Disabled communities in Illinois and Indiana, she finished her career at Arc of Northwest Indiana as Staff Development Director.

Claudia’s hobbies included reading, cross-stitch, attending arts and craft fairs, and simply enjoying her home and flower gardens. She was born in Chicago, but enjoyed visits to Ottawa, IL and the fond childhood memories of her family history. Claudia and her husband made yearly visits to Naples, FL for vacation, and enjoyed occasional trips to Michigan, Phoenix and Sedona, AZ to visit family. An avid pet lover, many cats and dogs found their way into her home and heart over the years.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Humane Indiana located on 45th street in Munster, IN.
