Colleen Gentile

Colleen Gentile, age 75, of Hickory Hills, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James and Elizabeth Pirtle, she was the loving sister of Cathy (Rick) Froemel and was preceded in death by her brothers David W. Pirtle, James (Marcia) Pirtle, and Allen (Candace) Pirtle.

Colleen was the devoted mother of Daniel Guttman, the late Dana Guttman, Michael (Lee Ann) Guttman, and David (Lisa) Guttman. Loving grandmother of Jason (Kristen) Guttman, Joseph Guttman, Jade Guttman, Breanna Hutter, Matthew Guttman, and Leah Guttman, and proud great-grandmother of Jonah Guttman. She was also adored by many nieces and nephews.

Colleen built a family with Lawrence Guttman, with whom she raised their children. She later married Ron Gentile, her devoted partner, until his passing.

She loved hosting large family gatherings, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and good food. She found joy in caring for her yard and had a natural eye for decorating, always finding ways to make her surroundings beautiful and inviting.

Colleen’s love for Jesus guided her throughout her life. Her family finds peace in knowing she is now in Heaven, held in His care and reunited with her loved ones.
