Corin Renee Rubio

Corin Renee Rubio age 50, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.
She is survived by her son, Zander (Jenna) Rubio; parents, Cruz and Cindy Rubio; numerous aunts, uncles, special cousins, and her faithful furry companion, Taka.
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Andrea Rubio, and George and Frances Hansen, 3 day old newborn sister, Calisa, born 1979, and uncles Martin Hansen, Gary Hansen,
and aunt, Jeri Hansen.
Corin was born December 1, 1975 in East Chicago, IN. She was a past member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Highland, IN. She was a 12 year Girl Scout member; and an avid tap, ballet and jazz dancer with Jeanne’s Dance Academy, both in youth and adult. Corin was a 1994 graduate of Highland High School, Highland, IN where she lettered in Majorettes/Flags and Poms. She went on to graduate from Purdue University West Lafayette, IN with a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science. She was a medical laboratory research technician.
Corin enjoyed spending time outdoors with her canine companions, working on electronics, fishing and being an active member in her local car club with her vintage 1980 Pontiac TransAm.
Corin was a loving mother, daughter, niece, special friend, and soon-to-be grandmother.
