Dan Joe Holloway

Dan Holloway, age 83, of Munster, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. Danny was born September 15, 1942 in Kokomo, Indiana to Delta Everett and Lena Myrtle (Shinn) Holloway. He was the tenth of twelve children. Danny moved to northwest Indiana when he was 19 and remained for the rest of his life. 

Surviving are Danny’s five children, Cyndi (Tony) Kramer of Flora, David (Dija) Holloway of Sioux Falls, SD, Cathy (Kevin) Cox of Fairfax, VA, Daniel (Linda) Holloway of Rapid City, SD, and Christina (Jim) Boland of Crown Point, IN; grandchildren DeJuan C.L. (Andrea) Baker, Rachel Elizabeth Baker, Bryanna J L (Brian) Hamel, Brian Holloway, Christina Cox, Nora Boland, Caitlyn Cox; 20 great-grandchildren.

Danny was preceded in death by his significant other Charlene Knight, his parents; 8 sisters, Faye Catterton, Clara Bowman, Christine White, Eva Wright, Roberta Ralph, Evelyn Barnett, Lucy Ellen Holloway, and Cornellia Gordon; 3 brothers, Robert Holloway, Charlie Holloway, and Billy Holloway.

Dan worked as an engineer for Holloway Engineering, then as a senior project engineer for Thermark (Avery Dennison) until he retired. He loved ballroom dancing, boating, travelling, working on projects around the house, and tending to his garden.
