Daniel Andrew Pecenka

Daniel A. Pecenka peacefully passed away on May 1, 2025 after a long five year struggle with major health issues.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Mary C. Pecenka. Survived by siblings Carl Pecenka, Eva (Tim) Moeller, Mary (late George) Hudak and Albert (late Nancy) Res. Also nieces and nephews, Jaime Blevins, Kelly (Victor) Aspurez, Teresa  (late Chris) Schutter, Michael Res, Bobby (Dawn) Res, James Res, and great nieces and nephews, Maron and Morgan Blevins, Robert Potter, Addison Schultz  and Leo Aspurez. 

Daniel 'Danny' was employed for many years for Meyer Bros Landscaping, Jewel-Osco stores as a manager and most recently had worked for The Town of Munster Parks Department.  

He was skilled at woodworking projects, loved cooking and his floral and vegetable gardens, and riding his Harley.  He even built a bike of his own.  He was always willing to lend a hand and help fix anything for anyone in need for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 beginning at 9:00am followed by a service at 11:00am at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN.
