Daniel "Dan" E. Gonsiorowski

Daniel “Dan” E. Gonsiorowski, 82, of Griffith, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He is survived by his wife Carol of 57 years, Daughter, Kris (Randy) Spotten, of Griffith, IN, Son, Jason Gonsiorowski, of Schererville, IN, Granddaughter, Eva Gonsiorowski of Schererville, IN,  Brother, Jack Granger of Kokomo, IN, Brother In Law, Richard (Janis) Pachniak, of Schererville, IN,  Brother In Law, Lawrence (Glenda) Pachniak, of Warsaw, IN and numerous nieces and nephews and 2 very specials friends, Steven and Chris.

Preceded in death by his infant son, Patrick Gonsiorowski, parents, Edward and Anne (Fleming) Gonsiorowski, Sister Rita (Richard) Ciesco, his Sister, Sr. Arlene Gonsiorowski, OSF and Sister In Law Carole (Fuss) Granger.

Dan was retired from Burgers and Tip Top Supermarkets and The Griffith Public Schools.

Dan was a Life Long Member of The Izaak Walton League of Griffith, IN, and an avid Hunter and Fisherman.

Dan served in the Indiana National Guard.

Dan was well known by many as “The Mayor of Griffith” and will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at Hillside Funeral Home, 8941 Kleinman Rd,  Highland, IN, on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 from 9am-11am immediately following will be the Burial at St. John-St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, IN.

Officiating will be Msgr. John J. Siekierski

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Parkinson's Association or the Humane Society.
