Danies Hal Copley
HAMMOND-Danies H. Copley, passed away unexpectedly on August 29th, 2025 at Community Hospital. He was born October 14th, 1952 in Milan, Tennessee. Son of Stella (Denton) and Gradie Copley.
Danies proudly served in the United States Marine Corps PVT E-1 from 1974 - 1980 with an honorable discharge, Trained in Camp Pendleton, and Camp Lejeune.
He was a member of the AVMRA Chapter 1 with his fellow marines and always loved reminiscing old times with his friends. Danies loved his family and always put them first, spending as much time with them as he could.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brothers Edward (Eddie) Copley, Richard (Ricky) Copley, and Sonya Copley. Son Johnathon Hal Copley.
Surviving in addition to his wife Rena (Bruno) Copley, Hammond, IN. Brother Darol Copley (Amy, Jo-Anne, Dwayne) Sister Maida Copley of Milan, TN, Nephews Richard, Bobby, and Michael of brother Edward. Allen and Mary Copley of brother Richard. Bobby Lynn Turner, Heath Allen Turner(Chris), Tanya Copley of sister Sonya. All of Milan, TN. Step-sons Jim Medlicott (Nicholas, Sydney, Samantha Medlicott.) of Alsip, IL. Steven (Jessica) Gonzales (Jose-Miguel, Jaslynn, Juliana, Isaiah, Analiyah) of Hammond, IN. Step-daughters Marena Medlicott, Kristy (Antonio, Julian, Elena) and Sarah Gonzales (Xavier, Emilyah, Marciano.) of Hammond, IN.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd). Highland, IN 46322 with a Funeral Service at 6:30 pm.
